Episode 1
On this episode, we are paying tribute and delving into the book Black Fortunes by Shomari Wills. Despite enduring the unfathomable conditions that came with slavery and life immediately following slavery, these six African American entrepreneurs beat the odds and made a name for themselves. I talk about five takeaways from reading about their experiences. Each person created opportunities for themselves and others and passed down to the next generation an image of what could be accomplished despite the circumstances.
